DIY Beauty Tricks You Need To Try

I’m a broke college student, which means I can’t afford every beauty product from Sephora. But, thanks to a few secret beauty hacks, you can achieve acne-free skin or luscious hair without spending $40 on one product. Here are my DIY beauty hacks that you need to try:

1. Coconut oil for model-worthy hair: Coconut oil has many beauty benefits to it. Don’t believe me? Check out all the beauty hacks you can use coconut oil for on Blissfully Brunette. One benefit is using the oil for sleek, shiny hair. Simply coat your hair with three to four tablespoons of coconut oil. Leave the product in your hair for 30 minutes. Shampoo and dry as normal.

2. Vaseline to remove makeup: If you’re spending extra money on makeup removal or cleansing cloths each month, here’s a way to cut back on your spending. Use Vaseline to remove makeup. What’s great about this product is that it’s not harsh on your eyes. All you need is some Vaseline and a cotton pad to remove makeup at the end of the day. I wrote a post on Blissfully Brunette with other beauty tricks you can use Vaseline for.

3. Baking soda to remove blackheads: All you need is a little baking soda and water to create a blackhead-removing mask. Apply to an infection area on your skin, leave on for 15 minutes before washing your face. Along with this at-home remedy, I wrote two other DIY tips to remove blackheads on my blog.

4. Honey for flawless skin: Organic honey is my go-to weapon to fight against acne. All you need is two tablespoons of honey. Gently massage the honey into your skin and leave on for five minutes before rinsing. You’ll notice your skin is acne free and glowing. Here is a DIY, acne-fighting face mask.

5. Strawberries for a brighter smile: Strawberries contain malic acid, which helps remove stains on your teeth. Simply combine two or three strawberries with a teaspoon of baking soda. Apply to your toothbrush and brush your teeth as normal. For best results, use this DIY recipe twice a week.

I’m a massive fan of homemade remedies! I love honey for acne, I also add a bit of cinnamon for extra punch!

Thank you for the comment! I’ll have to add cinnamon to my next honey mask. Thanks for the tip.
