What to wear: New Year’s Eve

It’s New Year’s Eve, which means the end of one year and the beginning of a new one. What I love about the end of the year is reflecting on what we learned from one year and how to apply those lessons to the one ahead. New Year’s Eve is a night to spend with close friends and family to ring in the new year. It’s a time to say goodbye to 2014 and hello to 2015.

So, what do you wear? If you’re struggling to plan your NYE outfit, I have three suggestions based on the type of occasion you’ll be attending.

Outfit 1: Work party or going-out with friends: If you’re going out to the bars with friends, or a party with coworkers, this is a great look to try. It’s comfortable but looks classy for a night out. Want to get the look? Here are your essentials: a jumpsuit, bold, red shoulder bag, heels and statement necklace.

Outfit 2: Family party at home: If you spend New Year’s Eve with your family, you can dress comfortably and still look put-together. I recommend track pants because you can easily dress them up with a top and heels. Here are your essentials: a sequined top, track pants, stacking bracelets and chain-strap heels.

Outfit 3: Night in with friends: If you’re like me (not 21 and can’t legally go out to drink) you’re probably planning a get-together with your close friends. A night in can still be fun. And let’s be honest, who wants to go out when you can watch movies and order in/cook food? Spending the new year at home? Here are your essentials: kiner pants,t-shirt, black scarf and sneakers.

What are your plans for the new year? What outfit is your favorite? Make sure to leave a comment below or tweet me @BlissBrunette. I hope you all enjoy beginning the new year with loved ones.
